1. Catholic Education, Mr MacMaster, Mr Green and Mr Margetts all come together and discuss what position they believe would best benefit the school and the direction it is heading in. They discuss whether the best option for example would be filling a vacant art teacher position or hiring another math teacher. Once deciding on the position they wish to fill, the next decision is to analyse current staff members and determine whether to use an existing staff member or to recruit someone new.
2. The teaching position is then advertised and contains the job analysis. This may be advertised using multiple techniques such as the Catholic Education website, newspapers, employment websites and noticeboards.
3. The application forms are analysed by Mr MacMaster, Mr Greene and/or Mr Margettes where they are distinguished via whom is most suitable for the job, employment history and referees.
4. All applicants are notified regarding the outcome, some are thanked for their application, whilst others are called in for an interview by panel. Panel consist of Mr MacMaster, Mr Greene, Mr Margettes and the head of the subject they are applying for.
